Introduction

The Shaftesbury Care Home project is a complete complex to involved in the designing of a residential facility for elderly with needs of specialized care and accessibility. Twelve residents will reside in double rooms with en suite amenities or four single-bedroom apartments for couples, and the proposed facility will accommodate. The project also includes essential spaces, a manager's flat, communal dining and lounge areas, first aid room, staff accommodations. The functionality and the appeal of the design are further enhanced by outdoor recreational spaces and amply parking facilities. Concerning Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), the care home gives priority on full accessibility for those who have mobility difficulty. The features of the project comprise communal spaces: dining rooms, lounge and recreational outdoor spaces to encourage the interaction and relaxation of the residents (Eini et al. 2021). Additional provisions such as the first aid room for medical emergencies; a staff rest area for six people; a completely equipped kitchen with storage rooms.

Whilst prioritizing accessibility, the DDA-compliant pathways have a stretcher-friendly lift, and there are plenty of disabled parking spaces. The entire facility has been designed to meet current building regulations and to offer a safe, efficient and aesthetically pleasing living environment. It is a two year project with a focus on the high quality of design, efficient use of space and western standards. Construction Information

General Arrangement Drawings: Representation of overall layout and spatial relationships of a construction project through general arrangement drawings is important visually for understanding the same. Schedules

Project documentation practically needs schedules. The schedules contain information on how different components fit. Collaboration and Review Process

In construction projects, reliable information development depends on effective collaboration. On the Shaftesbury Care Home project, the collaboration was carried through the integration of CAD and BIM tools, in which team members could work cohesively. BIM allowed us to make a centralized digital model that served as a single source of truth for all stakeholders: architects, engineers, and contractors. Through this approach, they managed to minimize miscommunication and optimize the course of decision-making by current updates and clash detection.

Many stages were taken in the review process to check the quality and accuracy of construction information. Errors, discrepancies, and inconsistencies between the drawings and specifications were spotted through peer reviews (Carnieletto et al. 2021). Reflects and Recommendations

For future projects, communication channel and adoption of advanced clash detection techniques should be suggested for more optimized design and construction process.

Quality of the design was increased while reducing errors by collaboration and iterative reviews. With their involvement, the project illustrates the need for precise information, effective teamwork and sticking to industry standards to deliver an outcome. Study on process and use of innovative tools will allow future projects to further enhance efficiency, accuracy and deliverability of overall projects.
