With a focus on Multi-Disciplinary team working and Supervision discuss how you would approach this issue?

I feel that the team leader play a very important role in building up good relations with team members by encouraging effective communication and motivating them to verbally interact with each other to accomplish the assigned tasks. Leadership is very essential in not only encouraging the team members to contribute their best work towards the attainment of organizational goals but also motivating them to interact with all the team members by possessing listening skills. It is important to provide proper guidance to all the team members regarding listening skills because until and unless the team members would not listen to each other they will not be able to understand each other's opinions and perspectives. Also, many of the team members come from different cultural backgrounds due to which they struggle in coping up with the cultural attitudes and behaviours of other team members; in this case, the team members should be provided with professional training sessions about working in cross-cultural teams to ensure the sustainable success in the long run (Hassan et al., 2013). Based on my personal experiences I have realized that our team leaders used to develop strong trustworthy and authentic relationships among all the team members and invest their time in building up strong bonds because they made us believe that poor and toxic relationships among the teams cannot only hamper the personal growth of the team members but can also affect the overall productivity of the business organization (Resick et al., 2013).

While perceiving the leadership the team managers should further focus on some of the key points so that they can regain the confidence and encouragement among the trainees. The one-on-one conversation should be impressed where all the trainees must be asked about their experiences on their training sessions along with the behaviour and attitude of other team members. The focus should be ensured on handling the group dynamics and I will be providing the proper training to the team members about removing the resistance to change. I have seen that many team managers have not been providing the chance to trainees to share their knowledge and show their skills during the decision-making processes and this ends up making the trainees feel discouraged and highly demotivated. Therefore the open sessions must be organized where not only the trainers but all the trainees must be given the freedom to speak up their views and opinions while embracing their learning (Hassan et al., 2013).

I will further focus on embracing ethical values among the team members and will try to eliminate the aspect of business because I have further realized that many team members get jealous to see other team members succeeding in their roles. In this case, they do not interact with the high-performers which results in the lack of effective teamwork relations. Instead, the ethical training sessions can improve the quality of relationships among the team members and a positive environment can be fostered among them (Resick et al., 2013).

Ethics are imperative for holistically conducting medical services. When it comes to psychology, one needs to be very careful while operating and managing services. The trainee needs to be treated as a professional practitioner but he is human as well. As it is mentioned that limits have been crossed and there is an unlikely relationship between trainee and the patient, the trainee needs to be taught about the ethics and values and how one needs to perform in a medical setting. Any kind of attachment will not help the patient get treated and the trainee might get affected emotionally and get driven away. In such cases, it is advisable to communicate an ethical code of conduct to trainees and ask them to strictly follow these rules. Some of these ethics include respecting the privacy of the patient and full disclosure of treatment as well as the history of the patient (Eisenbeiss et al., 2015). It is strictly prohibited to develop personal relations with patients as it will affect the treatment and also affect the decorum of the healthcare setting. Psychology is a field where there is a high tendency for the patient to have feelings for the practitioner as she/he is getting cured and instead of finding the treatment effective, they perceive the human has made them feel better for which they are likely to get attracted to the practitioner. Even if it is normal, it is strictly unprofessional and must not be allowed under any circumstances. The trainee needs to maintain only professional relations with the patient.

For other team members, there must be a code of conduct as to how to behave and greet new trainees. The insensitive behaviour that has affected the trainee might have drawn him near to the patient as one needs to feel belonged to the setting to get along with the practice. The other members must not behave in a hostile manner and if they feel that the practitioner is not skilled, they can make him understand how the work is done. Every practitioner needs to understand that it is highly unethical to outcast a person because his skills are not proven and if they find him incompetent. Ethically, it is required by the team to include him in discussions and increase communication with him so that he feels comfortable (Eisenbeiss et al., 2015). No one enters the field filled with expertise because it builds over time. So if the team members become a little lenient and open to the trainee, it will help both parties to build a more understanding and professional relationship. For this purpose, an ethical code of conduct must be communicated and informal meetings must be held so that practitioners and trainees get time to understand each other. The trainee must be given time to prove his skills and therefore other members need to be a little adjusting and facilitate the free flow of information. Having a premature notion about the trainee is not ethical.
