In the light of Buck's career graduate attributes, I have developed the employability skills that help me to focus on my career goals. I have analyzed that this attribute learning focuses on the development of innovative leaders in professional and creative capacities. I have experienced lots of things while gaining knowledge and upgrading my skills through this platform. For the last few years, I have been working in the corporate world which has enhanced my employability skills as well as improved my theoretical & practical knowledge.
I have realized that there is a relationship between theory and practices in terms of volunteering, sales associate, and so on. I have theoretical as well as practical knowledge. In terms of employability, I have learned and experienced theoretical as well as practical knowledge. I have been taught employability skills at the time of college and how to use them in the corporate world. But after having an experience in the same, I got to know that employability skills change according to a particular situation (Ryan 2012). I have been a part of so many companies that is the employability that I am learning through the practical situations. I have identified that there is a direct relationship between theory and practice in terms of work. As, when an individual gets theoretical knowledge, only then he can apply his theoretical knowledge while doing some practical things. I have identified that employability is a set of skills, understandings, and knowledge that makes people more likely to gain employment and be successful in their future career goals. Since 2013 I have been a part of a company that enables me in developing my skills as per the requirements of an organization. I have learned and gained so many experiences while working with companies (Riratanaphong and van der Voordt, 2015). I volunteered in a museum where I have learned to organize the activities, worked with collections, and was a team leader. I have worked in the companies as a sales associate also. In terms of employment, I have gained so much knowledge and experience that has enhanced my skills and will help in my future career goals. I have experienced those organizing activities is not so difficult task but an individual can learn the time management skills. It has helped me to upgrade my time management skills. I have worked in different fields that have increased my capabilities and improved my attitude and behavior according to a particular situation. I have found that gathering theoretical knowledge is important but applying that in practical situations is more important to learn things and upgrade my skills. I have identified while working with Marks & Spencer how the customer reacts when dealing with them for a particular product (Aljawarneh and Atan, 2018). I understood the behavior of customers and handled them as per their requirements.
I deal with customer complaints also where I got to know that it is important for an individual to have the patience to handle the customers. Otherwise, there may be an argument with them. I have identified that planning and organizing the activities are my strengths which can complete things on time (Atewologun 2018). I have analyzed that I can handle all the levels of people while solving their quires on time. As I have interacted with many people in the corporate world so I maintained good relations with them which is also a strength of mine.
I worked with the museum and a cancer research NGO where I have volunteered to get things done at a right time. When I worked with the museum as a volunteer, I identified that an individual must have effective communication skills with confidence. As it helps them to interact with the participants better (Héliot et al, 2020). While working with this organization I have learned how to organize the activities within a stipulated time and how to handle the team members effectively. I have developed communication skills, time management, leadership skills, and self-confidence. These skills are very important for an individual to gain success in future career goals. I have analyzed that an individual can learn practical things while volunteering the activities. This is the short frame of having experience and knowledge of the corporate world. Before working as a permanent employee, I have been worked with so many companies to get an experience of how the companies are dealing with the customers. For the same, I have volunteered in some of the companies which I have done as a temporary job. While studying, I got some experience related to customer service.
