Timely action in this area is pivotal because it drastically influences mental health of people. From statistical estimation it has been identified that 1.25 million people in the UK are suffering from eating disorder (UK Statistics of Bulimia, 2023). Healthcare awareness is a crucial domain and the motive of this research is to develop awakes regarding bulimia, people often take it normal. However, this proves to be severe condition that impact well-being of individuals (Brelet et al, 2021). This shows that there is need to emphasise on this area, eating disorders drastically impact individual’s health and therefore, it is important to conduct research in this area so that effectual interventional strategies can be identified along with creating awareness regarding bulimia.

Data Sampling and Collection

Data collection explicated as a method that concerned with allocation of information for developing research outcomes. It is pivotal to select significant methos so that effectual findings could be developed. The information can be allocated via primary or secondary method; primary technique aligns with creating interaction with participants (Pandey and Pandey, 2021). On the other hand, secondary method entails with allocating information by approaching secondary sources. The researcher will utilise secondary method and consequently sources such as Google Scholar and database such as PubMed and CINAHL will be used. Moreover, information from NHS UK will be taken for analysing the extent of Bulimia and varied factors associated with it. In-depth understanding would be developed through secondary data. This further contributes in gaining wider understanding related to research area.

The research will be comprised with allocating secondary information and therefore, there is no requirement to approach or recruit participants. Consequently, no sampling would be done. However, quality articles will be approached and therefore, quality sources will be preferred. Allocating secondary data results in varied benefits such as it provides higher flexibility, cost effective and supports in gaining wider data. Therefore, secondary allocation would be done and understanding regarding Bulimia would be developed. Specific inclusion and exclusion criteria will be setting down for gathering highly specific or reliable data. Accordingly, articles that published in the last 7 years, related to Bulimia nervosa, will be considered for the investigation purpose. Keyword search strategy will be used for finding highly valid data related to the issue being investigated. Further, unauthorized websites will be excluded with the motive to make the study highly reliable and valid.

Analysis Process

Data analysis is a significant process, it entails with evaluation of gathered data. In order to evaluate data, researcher can employ thematic or statistical techniques. Thematic method proves to be appropriate for assessing theoretical information. Whereas, statistical methods tend to make focus on analysing numerical information (Hamzani et al, 2023). The researcher will employ thematic technique and subsequently referring the research objectives different themes would be formulated for analysing collected information. This supports in developing in-depth understanding regarding bulimia and different factors associated with it. Furthermore, a significant theme based on integrated models and interventions would be formulated that analyses about the ways in which eating disorder can be managed. Henceforth, researcher will use thematic analysis method so that effectual insights regarding study context can be developed and awareness regarding bulimia could be enhanced. In this context, as per Braun and Clarke six step process will be followed which mainly include research issue assessment, formulation of codes, theme generation, review, assessment and reporting of formation (De Torres et al, 2024).

Research data and management plan

Type of research data

There are two different sets of data which can be used for the completion of the study and it includes qualitative and quantitative. The former relates to complying with information which includes all the non-numeric details whereas the latter includes all the facts and figures and numeric information about the study area (Alam, 2021). The completion of the current study based on understanding Bulimia compliance with the qualitative data will be undertaken. The qualitative type will be selected by the scholar as it will assist in developing theoretical insights relating to the biological, psychological and social aspects relating to Bulimia.

Dara storage

Further, the data storage is also necessary for correctly conducting the study as when the data is not be kept safe then it will impact the working greatly. So to store the data relating to the current study based on Bulimia, compliance with data collection software will be done so that data can be stored safely. Also, the use of OneDrive from Arden Univeristy will be followed to store a copy of data and the compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will also be made to keep the data safe and secure.

Ethics

For the current study, the ethical requirement of collecting the data from the copyright sources is followed. For using the secondary data, it is necessary that all the information used from the secondary sources the data will be collected from the copyright sources only and no other data will be used (Drolet et al, 2023). Moreover, all the data and information used for the current study will be the latest. This means that all the articles and journals that will be reviewed for the current study must have been published after 2020 only.
