Based on the Gibbs reflective cycle, description stage it was clear that the case included was of Liam who is 9 years old and is facing different issues relating to academics and also in managing emotions. He became withdrawn and also disrupted the class more frequently and all these things were noticed by his teacher, Ms Johnson. The teacher tried to address this issue and for this used the standard classroom management techniques. But then also in their free time, it was noticed that Liam often sat alone and was not at all interested in participating in group activities. Further, in this case, I felt that the teacher must have communicated all this behaviour of Liam with his parents. It is the reason that education is not only limited to the school but also includes the system which includes learning at home, community and other related aspects (Zamiri and Esmaeili, 2024). With this, I felt that effective collaboration in education needs to be effectively maintained. In case the appropriate type of collaboration is present then it is assistive in solving the case of Liam.

During the evaluation stage, it was clear that collaboration is needed between the parents and teachers and as a result better work could have been supported. The collaboration is very crucial as it emphasises the holistic understanding of the child. When Liam was not participating in class activities then this must have been communicated to the parents and they would have supported Liam in overcoming the issue. Thus, with the help of the evaluation, it is clear that there must be building of good trust and partnership among the student, teacher parents and other people involved. This is necessary for the reason that when collaborative practice is followed then it builds better trust and this results in better working of the students (Moraes et al, 2023). Also, effective collaborative practice helps in developing consistency and reinforcement among the child. With the help of collaborative practice, among teachers and parents, the position of Liam can be improved well.

With the analysis, it was evaluated that there are also some of the limitations which Ms Johnson was facing. The most common limitation which the teacher faced was that the parent-teacher communication was not effective. The teacher witnessed that Liam was not responding well in group activities but this was not communicated to his parents (Kim, Lee and Cho, 2022). In case this would have communicated with the parents then at home as well they would have motivated Liam to overcome the issue. Further, another limitation identified was that there was not any open dialogue with Liam. In case, Johnson would have openly communicated with Liam then his issues would have been solved there only. This will be assistive in managing the working well and ultimately, the overall capability of Liam would have been improved well.

Further, with the analysis, it was clear that in case these limitations had not occurred then it would have boosted the performance of Liam. This is particularly because of the reason that when the effective collaborative practices would have been done then it would have been improving the behaviour of Liam. For instance, if the teacher and parents both are supportive of Liam and are motivating him well then it would have improved his performance and interaction with others. Thus, effective collaborative practices need to be followed between the teacher parents and all other people involved (Jovanović and Milosavljević, 2022). This will increase their engagement of Liam as well because when an effective type of friendly and collaborative environment then Liam will be more connected with teachers and other activities taking place in the school. Moreover, if these limitations had not been faced by Johnson, then there would have been much stronger and more effective support provided to Liam. This would have also improved the interaction between the people involved and as a result of this, the overall development of Liam would have been done.

At last, it is concluded that the position of Liam can only be improved with the help of collaborative working. This is because of the reason that when the effective type of working is improved then automatically the condition of Liam would have been improved. Moreover, in future as well, it is necessary for Ms Johnson they focus on effective collaborative practices with parents so that overall work can be improved and the position of Liam as well. Also, Ms Johnson must try to work on communicating openly. This is needed as when clear and open communication will be done with the parents and the student then it would have been supportive to manage the working well (Supena, Darmuki and Hariyadi, 2021). This will further help in managing and improving the position of students and ultimately the working capability of the teacher will also improve.

Lastly, it is concluded that collaborative working includes more people working together so that the particular objectives can be attained well. Within education, the practice of collaboration needs to be followed as this will assist the teacher in developing good relations with the parents and the children. Ultimately this will help the student and teacher to work in better collaboration and try to enhance the working capability. At last, it was analysed with the help of Gibbs's reflective cycle that when collaborative practice is implemented then it assists in a holistic understanding of the child, building trust and partnership and many other benefits. Moreover, it was seen that some limitations were present from the side of the teacher like not communicating the child’s things with parents and many others. At last, it was seen that if collaborative practice had been followed then it would have improved behaviour.
