In addition, decision-making is a skill of identifying facts and accordingly making informed and rational decisions. During the academic development, I face problem related to management of the team in the efficient manner. Once I get a group project that need to complete in 1 week. In one group there are five members at that time I struggle to manage and complete the project on time. During the project little disturbance occur as all members have different opinion and it become hard to manage time of all according to suitability. To solve the problem efficiently, I used problem solving technique namely brainstorming (Purwanti, Ilmawan, and Nugroho, 2020).

In this, I first focus on identifying the problem such as poor coordination, lack of communication due to difference in opinion and lack of time-management as not able to match time of all group members. Then, I emphasis on generate potential solution included active listening to learn about problems of team members, encourage collaboration by explaining the importance of achievement of project goal on time, delegation of task according strength of team members and so more. To solve the problem of lack of efficient management and completion of project on time, I select solution of delegation of task according to the strength as a result all members of the group get an opportunity to complete the portion of part according to their opinion as well as the solution aids in complete the project on time (Barsalou and Starzyńska, 2023). The implementation of solution solve the problem of disturbance as a result the last outcome came positive as the project complete on time and all members of the group effectively able to contribute their best.
In addition, during the project, another problem faced is making presentation of group project. In context of problem, Five whys technique is used, it aids in explore the cause and effect of the specific problem by asking the question “Why?”. In related scenario, the reason of problem is all members have lack of knowledge of using PowerPoint, another is lack training as a result root cause is incompetency in complete the presentation. The technique aids in recognize the cause of problem and accordingly make a solution.
The problem-solving technique brainstorming is used as it support me to think beyond a conventional boundaries and get an alternative solution of problem and using the one best. It enables me to sharpen my skills more and aids me to solve personal and workplace problem at early stage. In addition, the five whys techniques are choose as it aids in recognize and address root cause as a result decline the chances of recurrence of problem. The outcome of using the techniques is better solution of the concerned issue.
Moreover, decision-making plays a crucial role in taking important decision as a student. I have to take decision regarding choosing the best college or university for further study while working at the best organization. I felt little confuse while choosing for the one best collage as there are availability of several well-known institution. At that time I used my decision-making skill with the help of decision-making technique such as pros and cons list. It is a straightforward as well as effective technique (Ahmad, Shah, and Abbass, 2021). To reach on a best decision, I list out the related pros and cons of the available option of the colleges considering points such as distance, faculty, fees, placement and learning opportunity and so more and compare this points side by side. This technique aids me to reach on the right decision. The reason of choosing the technique includes best, effective as well as less time-consuming technique. It aids me to clarify the best option that efficiently aligns with my goals and priorities.
In addition, to make decision regarding attending training session of the various experts, I have to take decision regarding attending workshop of one due to less available time. At that time to reach the decision, I used heuristic technique. The technique aids to reach the best decision by using relevant information, experience and past result in a reasonable time (10 Best Decision-Making Practices and Techniques, 2024). The method generally uses to make small decision as a result the technique aids me to evaluate the advantage of attending each workshop with the help of cognitive process. The one workshop that provides greater advantage chooses during the process of decision-making. The technique is best for instant decision-making. The outcome of using both techniques such as pros and cons list as well as heuristic method aids in reach best decision within a timely manner that is useful for me in future too.

In case the written communication will not be present well then it will be impacting the overall efficiency to a great extent.
During one incident I evaluated that there is a high requirement to have good knowledge of written communication skills. Within the workplace, there are many people involved and it is not necessary that with every person verbal communication can be done. So for effectively communicating the proceedings of the working the overall message must be constructed well (Agustina and Setiawan, 2020). Thus, for working proficiently it is necessary for me to have a good communication skill. Having strong writing skills is very crucial for the successful working of the person. While working professionally there is interaction with many different kinds of people and appropriate communication must be made. In case the right communication is not done then the overall efficiency of the work will be affected and consequently, the overall work will be affected.
Hence, for this, I must develop good communication skills. Currently, I have communication skills which helps me to work with proficiency and also the overall work is good. But there is a requirement of improving my communication skills so that in future the working increases and I am easily able to write to others clearly and concisely. The first thing to improve written communication is to comply with the 5 Cs of communication. This includes clear, complete, cohesive, concrete and concise (The Five C’s of Effective Communication, 2024). In case all these 5 C are applied at the time of the writing then it makes the communication much better. Hence, for this, it is mandatory that effective communication is promoted and ultimately the overall working is improved. Thus, I must improve my written communication and apply the 5 C well.
Once I mailed my assignment to my friend for reviewing but he was not able to understand some of the writing easily. This was because of the reason that within my assignment I repeated some of the words continuously and as a result there was not any concrete meaning coming. Hence, with this, I understood that there is a high requirement of making wise choices while selecting the words to write (Wiyaka, 2020). Also with this, I noticed that there are many different meanings to a particular meaning and every person understands the meaning according to this perception. Hence, the selection of the words must be done very wisely. In case any word having more meaning will be used then it will be affecting the written communication. It is due to the reason that the receiver will not be able to understand the actual meaning that the sender wants to state and hence, the written communication will not be done well.
Similarly, with the written communication, it is also necessary that the verbal communication is also good. In case I am not able to speak then the work will not be done well. So it is also necessary that clear words are spoken and no use of wrong or double-meaning words is made. There are many different types of words which have various kinds of meaning so it is my responsibility to decide which word to speak and when (Tavakoly Sany et al, 2020). In case clear words will not be spoken then it will impact the whole communication process. I am good in verbal communication as what I speak is understandable by others and in the same way as I thought to communicate. But still, there is some requirement to improve the verbal communication as well. For this, I need to work on improving my vocabulary so that I can learn more new words for expressing myself. It is due to the reason that when clear and better words are spoken the listener will understand better.
Thus, for me, it is also necessary that there is a requirement to improve written communication as well (Xiuwen and Razali, 2021). For this, I need to work on improving my critical thinking skills it is due to the reason that when the critical thinking skill is improved then I will be able to write in a much better manner.
Referring to the Gibbs model, during the module I experience that I able to develop various transferrable skills. I identified that with the help of the module, I effectively able to sharpen my communication skill. It is a capability of efficiently convey information, message, opinion, views, ideas, feedback and suggestion to others. During the module, at the time of good project, I use skill to share information with each member. Within the group all members have different level of understanding correspondingly I used language according to the understanding of the listener so that no misunderstanding occurs. In addition, I focus on active listening, give attention to information of all team members. The skill aids in my personal and professional development in the future, as communication is demanding skill which is required by each organization. Skill enable me to build a culture of open communication that aids in enhance exchange of ideas, morale and work satisfaction as well as foster innovation and creativity (Agustina and Setiawan, 2020). Additionally, written communication skill assist me to get good marks in the assignment which aids me to get better opportunity to learn more leads to my personal growth.
Moreover, during the module analyzed that my leadership skill enhanced in proficient manner. Leadership is an ability of leading, directing and guiding a team. At time of preparing project, various problems faced in completing the project such as difficulty in delegating task to each member, scheduling time according to the preference of each as well as equal collaboration of all team members. During this difficult time I use my leadership skill to direct whole team appropriately, I give advice to each members to work according to their preferred time and address progress of the project to other team members with the help of making notes or sending message (Ali, and Anwar, 2021). Thus, with the help of the experience I able to know that my leadership skill is quite good.
My problem-solving and conflict resolution skill is also proficient. Problem-solving refers to a competency of identifying problem, determining its cause, selecting alternative solutions as well as implementing solution in an appropriate time-frame. Apart from this, conflict resolution refers to a ability of effectively, quickly and respectfully resolving the conflicts. During the module, I faced problem in searching the accurate content for completion of the project as various online sites are paid. It makes difficulty for me to gather correct, accurate and reliable content. At that time I used my problem-solving skill and with the help of brainstorming focus on identified solution (Adeani, Febriani and Syafryadin, 2020). Thus, the transferrable skill of mine aids me in my personal as well as professional development. Utilization of the problem-solving skill in the future aids me to perform best at the workplace. In future, at workplace, the skill aids me to early identification of problem as a result I always prepare for overcome it with the help of best solution. It leads to provide competitive advantage to me at my workplace.
On the other hand, during the module evaluated that I have some of weaknesses which work as a big barrier for my personal as well as professional growth. I analyzed that I have lack of collaboration skill. It is an ability of working effectively and well with others to attain a common goal (Gibbs' Reflective Cycle, 2024). The lack of collaboration skill of mine enables me to make relation with the team members as well as create a work environment where all feel respected and appreciate. This lack of skill is big hindrance for mine personal as well as professional growth. Further, I evaluated that my technical skill is also lack as a result I find difficulty in using different technological tool, software, technical tool. In the current time, it is a major required skill as for doing each work, it is important to have a better knowledge and skill of using technical tool. Also, my critical thinking skill is one of my weaknesses. It is an ability of evaluating and interpreting information to make a better conclusion (Alsaleh, 2020). Thus, it is important for me to develop all weak skills as it is crucial requirement for personal as well as professional development.

By reflecting on the whole academic year and its learning I learnt that having proper and good knowledge of decision-making and problem-solving skills is very important. Also, I analysed that by complying with the help of brainstorming and 5 whys I was in a position to better take the decision and solve my problems well. Further, I also analysed that having good and clear communication is also very necessary and with this better personal and professional working can be improved. Also, it was examined that for improving the written communication compliance with the 5 C principle is very necessary. Moreover, to enhance verbal communication there is a requirement of choosing the words wisely so that other people are not hurt and the message is communicated to them.
