My strengths

I have wide range of strengths from which I will be able to make my career as automobile engineer within one of leading automotive company of the UK i.e. McLaren. I also worked as mechanical engineer and automotive technician at general level in between 2008-2018. Accordingly, I have lot of experience in this field from which I will be competent to make my career as automobile engineer. My one of the biggest strength is I am specialist in repairing the engine of most of the vehicle with the electrical diagram as well as also have experience of auto repairs and fittings. This strength will help me in developing my professional career in my chosen field. This factor will help in motivating to build the career in this filed by developing the innovative and sustainable solutions while designing, manufacturing and maintaining the vehicles (Lukin, Krajnović and Bosna, 2022). On the other hand, my biggest strength is effective communication skill that motivates me to select the chosen career path i.e. automobile engineer. Additionally, being an automobile engineer I will be able to explain technical issues appropriately to the customers and staffs as well as designing vehicles in a sustainable way.

My interests

 I have interest of constantly learning, social interaction and gain valuable knowledge that motivates me to build the career as automobile engineer within automotive sector of UK. The automotive sector is full of technological advancement so it will help me in enhancing my learning continuously about the various technologies and machines. I have interest in learning the new things regularly which helps me in developing the knowledge and improving the skills from that I will design and produce the vehicles in a sustainable way . Being an automobile engineer this interest will motivate me to think out of box, develops innovative as well as sustainable ideas for designing and maintaining vehicles as well as test the functionality of systems and parts. In addition to this, I also have interest in social interaction with the staff. This factor will help me to build my chosen career path successfully and strengthen the strong relationships with staffs and customers.

My values

With strengths and interests I have several values that motivate me to choose the career path of automobile engineer in McLaren. I have problem solving skill from which I will able to inspect the vehicle from several angles in order to determine and diagnose the issue successfully and then design accordingly within limited time. In addition, attention to detail is another value that will help me in becoming an automobile engineer. With the help of this value, I will be competent enough to perform all the tasks with close attention to detail and find solutions. I worked for many years in the automotive sector so I have complete knowledge about this industry. From this, being a senior automotive engineer of McLaren I will be able to provide better services to the customers through various duties. In current times, the automotive companies are emphasising on sustainability to protect the environment and safeguard the health of the community’s people (Vieyra et al, 2022). Through industry knowledge I will be able to emphasis on developing eco-friendly solutions of for designing and producing vehicles for the customers.

In future, I want to build career as automobile engineer in the biggest automobile companies of the UK like McLaren. In this career I will be accountable for designing, manufacturing and testing the vehicles. Being an automobile engineer I will be responsible for creating new designs and modifying the existing ones for engines, vehicle parts, transmissions and more. Pursuing for this career in future will be beneficial for me because it has higher future scope, earn quickly and higher job satisfaction. Additionally, there is wide range of knowledge of factors such as automation and technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), increasing globalization, sustainability, globalization etc., which affects the area of work i.e. automobile engineer. In current times, to protect the environment and safeguard the health of people, the automotive industry of UK is emphasis on sustainability while designing, manufacturing the vehicles.

Being an automobile engineer I will also need to emphasis on sustainability by designing the vehicles that reduce the impact of environment with the help of various practices such as developing efficient power trains, lightweight materials, incorporating recycled materials and optimizing the fuel consumptions. Emphasis on sustainability will be beneficial for the automobile engineer because it helps in reducing emission, improving maintenance, informed decisions and attracting wide range of customers as well as develop reputed position in the market.

On the other hand, automation is another crucial factor that directly affects my chosen of area of work in future. In current times, due to technological advancement automobile companies are more emphasis on adoption of emerging technologies like AI in order to design and manufacture the vehicles in innovative way. Being an automobile engineer in future, I will also need to integrate emerging technologies on designing and building the system of vehicles because it helps in increase efficiency by eliminating repetitive tasks, faster design and prototyping cycles, improve safety features through costs reduction and automated testing. 

Apart from this, according to labour market of automotive sector, there is wide range of challenges and opportunities that directly affects my chosen work of area i.e. automobile engineer. In current times, due to technological advancement, the automobile sector of the UK is significantly shift towards autonomous driving technology, electric vehicles (EVs) and digitalization. However, it includes various challenges and opportunities such as job displacement due to automation, require acquiring new skills and knowledge, developing expertise in EV designs and data analysis for vehicle optimization. Additionally, developing the career path as automobile engineer in McLaren will be beneficial for me. Moreover, it helps me in developing my skills & knowledge about the automation and technologies while designing the electric vehicles. Being an automotive engineer, this trend will help me in providing the opportunity of gaining the knowledge and information related to sensors and systems of vehicles that assists me in determining the trends and patterns. On the other side, with opportunities I will experience challenges in adopting the new skills & knowledge and job displacement due to the technological advancement that directly affects my chosen work of area. Being an automobile engineer, to design and manufacture EVs I will need to acquire various skills such as technical, computer etc., which is time consuming and challenging process.

 To become automotive engineer in future I will be need to gain relevant knowledge and skills. According to my current circumstances, I have the capability to improve the various skills such as technical, proficiency in computer aided design software (CAD) etc. In today’s digital, to become an automobile engineer it will be important for me to get the certification in CAD. It will allow me to create detailed 3-dimenisonal structures of vehicle components and systems. It facilitates me to visualize and stimulate the way of designs before actual implementation. On the other hand, to build the career path in the chosen field in successful manner I will need to develop technical automotive skills. With the help of this skill I will able to gain understanding of vehicle dynamics, electronic control system and power trains systems.

After gaining relevant knowledge and skills, I will need to stay updated on industry trends to become automobile engineer in future. I will need to have complete knowledge of the latest trends in automotive technologies such as autonomous driving, electric vehicles and sustainable materials. From this, automobile engineer will be able to design, manufacture and maintain the vehicles in innovative way which minimizes environmental impacts and protect the health and well-being of people (Munten et al, 2021). This will help me in developing my career in automotive sector effectively and successfully which positively impacts on my personal and professional growth.

At the third step, I will need to create the portfolio of the automotive projects with the proper designs. To create the project portfolio I will need to integrate images, description and simulation of the work along with the awards and recognition. Following this step will be beneficial for me because it highlights my creativity and skills to the potential employers from which I will easily get the job in McLaren on the position of automobile engineer. As per my current circumstances, I have competency to achieve all the steps in effective and successful manner in order to become an automobile engineer in the management field. Making career as an automobile engineer will be beneficial for people because it enables wider area of work, creativity, developing skills and wide range of jobs (Karaca-Atik et al, 2023).
